Called To Serve
The founder, Apostle Prophetess Dr. Angella Musiimenta encountered with the Holy Spirit on the 21st day of her fasting on 1st July 2010. During this encounter, the Holy Spirit called her into an apostolic and prophetic ministry and instructed to construct the first Church in her Father’s land in Rwenkuri village, Mitooma district, southwestern Uganda. He said this Church would be His Living Sanctuary, from which generations and generations of people from all corners of the world will be saved, restored, abd blessed.
In this Temple, my children shall be set free, they shall be re-dedicated to Me, they shall be saved and completely restored back to Me, they shall be called the redeemed of the Lord. I will be their God and they will be My people. They must regularly come to praise, worship, give thanks giving and pray from this Temple. I the Lord shall give them blessings for new months, new seasons and new years from this Temple. People will come from the furthest parts of the world for deliverances and blessings in this place of My dwelling. It shall be the light to the gentiles, and the blessing to many nations. It shall be My place; the Temple of the Lord Almighty, the dwelling of the Most High God. I the Lord have said, and it must be so. Thus says the Lord your God, Redeemer, the Holy one of Israel.”
Because Musiimenta had never thought of serving God, even after receiving the encounter, she did not respond to the call to ministry until the hand of God became too hard on her seven years after the encounter. Specifically:
- Tent-based overnight prayers in the same place begun in Nov 2017, followed by Sunday evening fellowships where we really saw the Holy Spirit delivering people from the hands of the devil.
- In March 2018, with the enablement from the Holy Spirit enabled, the land agreed and owners officially handed over that place to God for Church establishment.
- In Sept 2018, Musiimenta planted a seed of building a Church and a ministers’ house in that place.
- In Nov 2018, we begun having our Sunday evening fellowships and monthly overnights and in our newly constructed Church (now known as Good News Nativity Church, Mitooma Campus).
- In Jan 2019 we changed Sunday evening fellowships to Sunday Morning services. To date, many people from Uganda and beyond have powerful testimonies about the diseases healed, the destinies restored, the chains broken as a result of encountering with the Holy Spirit at this Church.
- In Oct. 2021, the Spirit of God gave Musiimenta another apostolic assignment to start another Church Campus in Mbarara district, which is about 85 kilomentres from Mitooma district. The Holy Spirit showed Musiimenta the exact place where Good News Nativity Church, Mbarara Campus was to be housed. She planted a seed by purchasing this piece of land as instructed by the Spirit of God. Plans to construct a cathedral (worth USD 300,000) on this land are underway.
